A 4-5-1 is not a bad system to play, if have the players to play the system either offensively or defensively. Last season we only had the players who could play the system defensively. This year we now have the players who could play a 4-5-1 both offensively and defensively. For example you could play it offensively with Bilek, Sam, Fuch, Bello, Josh and Lucky or you can play the tactic defensively by changing out the offensive mid fielders with defensive mid fielder players and your LV and RV play more defensive then offensive. This can also be true for a 4-4-2. A tactical concept is a must but if you do not have the players to play the concept, it is just remains a tactical dream. I think that the current FCK management have an excellent tactical concept and are slowly but surely going out to get those types of players they need to play their tactical concept. I think it is great that SK is part of tactical concept planning. Simply put if the FCK has to change out the trainer then SK can look for a new trainer who can immediately apply the in place tactical concept.

I can read German but it would take a half day to post in German. You can respond to me in German.

I am not hang my hat on whether Dzaka plays or not. I to remember the good old days and watching the past great 10er and not so great ones since 1967. I think German fans love the past to much and sometimes resist new tactics and new ideas point in question German National team prior to WM and current Bayern trainer. I think last summer that SK and MS sat down and layed out a a very new FCK tactical concept for the future. It is a 4-1-3-2 with very offensive LV and RV and a pressing defense. You merely have to look at the games between two and seven in the first half of the season and you can see the tactical foot prints. I think it is great concept but people have to realize that SK and MS started at ground zero and did not have all the players they needed to play the tactical concept the entire first half of the season. With the new players and the chance to test players in different position I am looking forward to 2nd half the season because I feel that we are going to see some very excellent play by FCK and a large number of wins.

I really do not care, if Dzaka plays the central mid field position or not as long as who ever replaces him is just as effective for the offense and defense as he has been. He is not a classic number 10. however, some of the people in this forum are judging him by using standards of how players from back in good old days played the classic 10er position. The game has changed and tactics have also changed. Who is the classic number 10 in the German national or the top teams in Europe? There is none. I can not see any reason a team would want to play a classic number 10 in today's high speed game. You take the 10er out the offense and you then have no offense. The 1st ten games when our entire mid field played good and our LV and RV were offensive then Dzaka looked good. However, as soon we started having problems with both the right and left side mid field positions and Bugera or Lampe played the LV less offensive then Bello our offense went bad and no one could really shine. I feel both SK and MS saw the problem and went out and got two additional mid field players and a Muller who can play either LV or RV offensively. If Dzaka did not contribute to the team both offensively and defensively, I would say he is worthless and he should go. However, to judge him on how some fans think in their eyes he should be playing his position is more the a bit unfair when the offensive and defensive tactic being played is totally different.

I didn't realize that Milan is now running the FCK and sent SK home. As far I know SK is responsible for which players come, stay and go. He is also responsibe for making sure that milan is meeting his training requirements. I think that he has both the technical know how and good judgement to evaluate both the trainer and players and determine, if they can help the club in future. I am also quite sure that he constantly gets inputs on each player from the trainer staff before he makes any decision as any good manager would do. If I can recall, he was the one who announced last summer that Muller needed to look for new club and the Kiker interview was with SK in which he indicated that the four players may not have a future with the club. I think SK has a goal of getting the FCK back into the 1st league and I am quite sure, if he felt either the trainer or a player or players are not working for the same goal that he would not hesitate to tell that it is time for them to move on.

I think Milan plans to play a 4-1-3-2 at home and either a 4-2-2-2 or a 4-4-2 on the road depending upon who the weakness of the other team. How many goals came from Bello's defensive side when he was playing LV? I cann't recall any. Between his and Dick's offense I beleive the team scored 12 direct goals. I would take that type of offense any day of week. Bugera is a question mark in my mind. He was injuryed for a long period and may not have had the condition to play the LV position offensively but given the fitness Milan may feel he can also play the position offensively. Just look at Sam, Heese, Paljic and lucky each of those four missed the complete July and August training camp and I feel all four ran out gas in the last four or five games. To play the type game Milan wants the team to play you have to have the players who can run 90 minutes every game and players we had from July on were fit enough to do just that.

Could it be Lamprecht and few others do not fit into SK and MS tactical concept for how they want the team play offensive football in the future. In the 1st 12 games we were playing a 4-1-3-2 with very offensive LV and RV. Could it be Lamprecht is a good defensive player but offers very little for the offense so what do you do keep him or let him go and then find someone better to fill the position. This may surprise a lot of people his competention was and is not Bugera. His competention for LV position was and is Bello. Bello is ok on defense but his offense has directly contributed for 5 goal direct assists when playing the LV position.

For 1st time in last seven or eight years we have a person (S Kuntz) in charge of FCK who has a plan and concept for the future and not just for one season. If his plan works he will get the FCK into 1st league and keep us their. He has the know how to get the job done. Last summer he set the wheels in motion by going out getting 11 players with good potential. S Kuntz must have believed these players had 1st league potential or he would not have signed them. He also kept other players from last season team who he thought had 1st league potential. I think he will continue to strenghten the team as needed and let go those players who can not contribute. After you look at the players he signed it is good indication to me that he knows what he is doing. So like Seppel 2 I think all of players could play in the 1st league.

I to found it great Wolf gave the three plus Bello a chance to play in 05/06 but my point is why did Bello greatly improve and the other three did not. Who are you going to blame the three trainers or the players? Who should the trainer play now the past super talents who have shown very little development or the best player for the position? In addition, how many years should these super talents have to develop another five years or ten years? Oh by the way I would have liked to have seen the three develop into super players and be in turn contributing to the FCK. However,I have come to impression that they felt that they did not have to work to improve in order to get a starting position. Of course I may be wrong and no one is now giving them a chance and everyone else is to blame except the players.

@mma666 what does your liking this trainer have to do with the discussion. Why did not these players improve under Wolf or Rekdal or do you think they did?

Schonheim had a top 1st season in 05/06 and the next two and half season took from a performance stand point ten steps backwards. Reinert had good games in the first seven games of 06/07 and then his performance went in the other direction. Ziemer has stayed so so in performance over the last three and half season. Or do people feel all three have constantly improved over the past three and a half seasons. Using the logic the trainer is the blame, how many trainers are you going to blame and continue to blame if you see no improvement. In case of this trainer I have seen performance improvement in few young players other then Bello for example Josh, Erich and Hornig. I realize there are trainers who do not like to develop young talent. However, look at the average age of our team and look at where we currently are as compared to last year. You then can see why I feel if a player does not invest hard work into himself then most players stand still or go backwards in their playing performance.
